Trump considering replacing Pete Hegseth with Ron DeSantis as Defense Secretary !

reports are leaking that Trump may replace Hegseth with DeSantis as Defense Secretary ! this is sure to send the left into an epic meltdown !

If this is a move by trump because he wants to change something, that's fine, if this is about the allegations against Hegseth, I say trump should stand his ground. Can't people see what the left are doing? Trump rolls out a cabinet pick and the left, or some accusation from decades ago surfaces to challenge them, and then the right backs down.

The media narrative surrounding hegseth is actually more powerful than the allegations. The police report and other things about that story contradict the allegations.

By trump backing down, he is letting the democrats steer his cabinet picks. He needs to stop doing that.

What story? Or more properly, which one?

Hegseth got the nob because Trump saw him on Fox Noise. That is both the limit of his “qualifications” and the limit of Trump’s vetting process.

Vance? I dunno.....he pretty much made mince meat out of all his debate partners.

And that qualifies this phony with a paper thin resume to be President.

Oh, never mind, “no experience necessary” is preferred in Trump world.

In the political world the resumes don't seem to pan out. Carter had a pretty thick resume and he was a horrendous president.... Although I liked him better than any other president personally yes maybe the only person this century who actually had a strong set of morals in that office.

Obama had what? Experience as a community organizer? His knowledge of economics was zip..... But then again supposedly that's what his cabinet is for.

Nobody has experiences of vice President until they're a vice president.

So now Harris has experience as a vice president..... And yet it seems like she's done pretty close to nothing with all that experience.

So I'm not really sure that the resume you're looking for actually matters.

Why would Trump want to dump him? He PICKED him Dummy.
I don't think Pete's going to make it.
And I really don't know what to think considering a lot of the information swirling around him. For him to have to promise that he won't be drunk is not a really good look for a Sec Def nominee.... Though I'm sure many of the people who rise to that level I'll probably well pickled alcoholics (Mike Harris) they apparently managed to hide it.

If he does get in I'm pretty sure he's going to kick ass..... He reminds me of someone who can get stuff done.
He's got a tough sell with Collins and Murkowski and you know McConnell isn't going to budge unless they come up with his price which will probably be heinous the way it always is.

Pete will be fine.

Any Sect of Defense who claims not to drink is a liar. They all drink.

Even the democrats candidate for the presidency had a drink or two or three.
