Special counsel Jack Smith on Monday urged a federal appeals court to reverse a lower court’s decision to dismiss the criminal case charging former President Donald Trump mishandling classified documents.
Smith in Monday’s court brief argued that Cannon strayed from binding legal precedent, “misconstrued” the laws authorizing the appointment of a special counsel and “took inadequate account” of the history of those appointments.

No surprise. If Cannon's decision is reversed it should begin a process by which some of the most egregiously unqualified trump appointees are removed from the bench. It will be the 3rd vacated ruling by Eileen if she is overruled, as she should be.
