I'd like to know where "there" is. It used to cost me 75 dollars to load up my truck for 2 weeks. Now it costs me 150 and I still have to buy about 45 dollars worth of groceries weekly while IN the truck to maintain the same level of food supply that I did before. Before my weekly resupply was usually never over 25, even if I splurged.
1lb of organic salad: 4.98 for YEARS-now 6.38
1gal Milk: 2.99 Milk today: 4.15 a gal BOTH gallons of whole milk same brand.
1 qt of ice cream: used to be 2.50, today 4.35
1 bag of chips: used to be 2.99 to 3.25, today 5.98 PER BAG
8pk of hot dog sausage (not wieners) was 4.50, today 8.50.
I could keep going but you get the idea.
Yes, groceries are FAR more now than they were just a year ago.
