I don't think they'll do it right away, but they want the option on the table and they want us to know it's on the table. Owing to our naval power, if it's closed, we would probably be able to open it again, but the chances of a conflict go way up, and any conflict in that region will essentially have the same effect as closing the Strait. Insurers won't let ships go there for one thing.

The Houthis are another possible factor that needs to be considered. They can ramp up their attacks on vessels in the Red Sea and beyond.

Lib loons live a disarrayed life. Iran is always a disarrayed mess and that’s how lib loons identify. They don’t want stability. They don’t know what is is and don’t want anyone else to have it.

I am probably agnostic at most, so I have no fondness in my heart for a theocratic regime such as Iran's, and no disagreement from me that the world would be much, much better off without a nuclear-armed Iran, which would undoubtedly lead to a nuclear-armed Saudi Arabia, and perhaps other countries in the region as well. So for that reason alone, I am in favor of preventing Iran from getting nukes.

Iran was cooperating under the old JPCOA, which Trump then withdrew from. Iran then restarted enrichment beyond civilian-use grade level. The Iranians have shown a willingness to be a nuclear non-proliferator. Israel, by contrast, won't even declare what the whole world already knows, which is that they have nuclear weapons.

We need to stop being ready to wipe Israel's ass the moment they shit their pants.
