Why? No American lives lost, few to no Iranian civilians killed, a traditional enemy humbled, an ally aided. I fail to see any political downside to this. Now if Iranian patsies launch a series of terrorist attacks inside the USA, it might get a little sticky politically, but it can be pointed out that Biden let the terrorists in and the democrats have been moving heaven and earth to keep them here. That might work for the republicans quite well.

The North Koreans heard what Bush said in 2003, in his “axis of evil” speech.

The US President bellowed that Iran, Iraq and North Korea wer part of an imaginary axis.

Then the US attacked the one country in that imaginary access that they knew DIDN’T have an active nuclear program.

The lesson was clear. North Korea heeded it.
