This funeral of his dad has shown me another side of GWB and from now on I won't judge the man in the wh by the few things I disagree with but by the way he carries himself ,his honesty, his empathy towards others, his heart. GWB was not an evil man

Did you see the footage of Bob Dole paying his respects yesterday?

I met Bob Dole once. In 1977 at a Young Americans for Freedom convention in New York City.

I asked him for an autograph, and he very graciously provided one. Except he asked me to hold his arm up for him. I had no idea at the time he was physically handicapped from a WWII injury he received in the Italian Alps. That's why whenever you saw him on TV, he had a pen in his hand to conceal his injury.

So I held his arm. MORTIFIED! Me, a kid, holding a Vice President's arm so he can give me an autograph!
