Every president in the last 4 decades has done this.

If Trump had the utmost integrity when discussing his business dealings and net worth, why wouldn’t he just release them? Talk about schooling those libs with the truth! He has nothing to hide!

Instead he has desperately taken this issue to the Supreme Court.

The Republican justification for this is logic they came up with on the spot when this was first discussed: “it’s no one’s business!”

Right I’m sure you would have been perfectly fine if Obama had blocked his returns instead. He deserves the utmost financial privacy like Trump does.

Why isn't the IRS after Trump?

So Trump lied when he told us he would release his tax returns to us when his audit was completed?

Why isn't the IRS after Trump?
Hard to say why. I mean we already know he’s being investigated for his business dealings in NY. It’s likely more because he doesn’t want the world to see all his business failures and his net worth. It’s a good thing daddy gave him those 10s of millions of dollars in the 80’s.

Your taxes are your business. Why are Trump's any different?

Why release them
In order to comply with the law.

U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden, a Trump appointee, sided with Congress in December 2021 and threw out the case, finding that the committee holds broad authority over a former president's tax returns.

In August, the District of Columbia U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals also ruled against Trump, concluding that "every president takes office knowing that he will be subject to the same laws as all other citizens upon leaving office." The appeals court refused a rehearing on Oct. 27.

Congress doesn't have the right to see your tax returns.

The IRS has audited Trump every year since he first filed a tax return.

Again, you’re just conveniently coming up with excuses. You wouldn’t be saying this if a democrat was blocking this.
Why wouldn't I? Remember I am on the side that supports equal justice, you are not.
