Trump also goes after Conservative pollster Frank Luntz

How do you know that Trump made hundreds of deals?

Have you been sleeping under a rock?

No, I am realizing we are not given exact details. How many deals has Trump made? 50? 100? 500? nearly 10,000?

What kind of deals? Where they all real estate? Did he invest himself?

A lot of details are missing in that statement. We are taking a generalized comment from Trump and declaring it true.

Investors trusted Trump!!

and lost billions!!

AND Trump explained this... These "investors" weren't innocent little church widows... they were Big Boys who were not necessarily all that nice... they knew the risks and took them willingly... Trump didn't make them do it. It's funny how investors are the worst creatures on the planet when making billions, but the most unfortunate and disadvantaged victims when they lose billions.

Regardless if they are saints or demons, they trusted Trump and lost.

By the way, we do not know if all of them are as Trump described them. Some of them could be good people that lost. Not all investors are the same, some are greedy, others are just building a nest egg for retirement.

So investors make investments solely based on how much trust they have in someone or how much return they stand to gain from their investment? It's a matter of what you wish to believe. It really doesn't matter what kind of people they are, they took a risk investing as do all people who invest. This was NOT some kind of unethical "ponzi scheme" Trump tricked people into doing... this was a legitimate real estate investment in Atlantic City casinos. Trump got out of it before it tanked... the others should have followed his lead. They chose to stay and lost their ass. How is that Trump's fault? If it was about "trusting Trump" why did they stay in it? He left... got out... didn't they get the memo?

I do not know the exact reasons why each investor invested. But trusting Trump mostly likely part of the reason. Now if Trump knew he had to get out to save his shirt and notifying the others would hurt him, then it is possible he pulled out without alerting them.

Of course, I should mention this--there was at least one bankruptcy that he did turn around.

Capitalism involves risk. Lenders are rewarded for taking risks - they collect interest. The higher the risk, the higher the "interest" income they receive. Trump has done hundreds of successful deals and his investors have made billions. He had 4 deals that didn't work out. 4 bad deals out of hundreds? We should all be so successful! The investors who lost money in those deals knew they were taking a risk. It's called CAPITALISM.

How do you know that Trump made hundreds of deals?

I am starting to see a pattern of generalizations.

It's common sense.

He owns a real estate company. He builds hotels, apartments, condo's, golf courses, wineries etc.., using OTHER PEOPLES MONEY. He's also licenses his name to other peoples projects for a fee. He has been running the Trump Organization since 1971. If he did 4-5 deals a year he'd have well over 200 deals. If he did 2 a year he'd have 90 deals- 4 failures out of 90 deals is peanuts. I'd take those odds any day.

Bottom line- If he was a failure nobody would lend him money. He'd have to finance everything himself. But that isn't the case. He has investment bankers lined up to partner with him. He's a multi-billionaire as a result.

Are you intentionally being obtuse? Or is it jealousy at his massive success?

methinks it's the latter......

Well there is a wikipedia page on Trump which tells the history of his life and you can see that he made his first deal when in college back in the 60s. Since then, he has built an empire on deals he has made.. he wrote a best-seller... 2nd highest-selling business book of all time... The Art of the Deal. His transactions and deals are of epic proportion and have been the subject of news, entertainment and even sports, for the better part of the last three decades.

So how much "detail" do you need?

Has national politics ever seen anything like this guy?

He's not a bull in a china shop, he's the freakin' Tasmanian Devil.

And yes, like the original story the creation is destroying it's creator.

I don't think Trump has ever been a "disadvantaged victim."

I was responding to "investors trusted Trump and lost millions."
It's funny how "investors" are terrible and awful when earning millions but...
If Trump caused them to lose millions, oh... the humanity! lol

As Trump said... These were Big Boys and Girls... they knew the risks. He didn't file bankruptcy... he has NEVER filed personal bankruptcy, despite what his attackers claim. He was smart enough to get out before it tanked... others weren't. That's not Trump's fault.

That is called "insider trading" and yes, it is violation of the law and T-Rump has no scruples about screwing over other people for their money. He will do the same thing to American taxpayers.

At least one of those bankruptcies was because of dishonesty on the part of T-Rump.

This whole thing has just gone off the rails. I'm actually beginning to feel bad for a few of the GOP candidates, this is ridiculous.

Menstruation jokes? Really?

Maybe at the next GOP debate they can have a fart-lighting contest.

(he says, getting into the mud with them....)

You aren't offended by menstruation jokes, are you?

the more trump doesn't act like the others, the more I think he's going to win.

think about it

you have a group of people that all act alike and they each take turns fucking the country over

Do you want to pick someone out of that crowd to lead the country or do you want to go with the other guy?

If this keeps up, it's going to be Trump v Bernie

And Bernie will win! :D
do you want a freedom hating socialist to win?

if so, lease point out the countries that thrive with socialism.

fyi; capitalism and freedom made America great, not the government

The rest of the civilized western world is doing just fine with social-democracies. Your ignorance is not my problem. It was the government that invested in America when it originally built the canals and then the interstate road system. Those weren't built by capitalists. They built the railroads instead and where are they today?

Trump is burning bridges and being a rat as he discloses what should be private communications to the public. He thinks telling about making contributions to specific politicians for favors is cool. He thinks disclosing that Luntz came to him for a job is OK. Trump will turn on people and become a common rat in a New York minute. He is vengeful and ego driven. The kind of person that should never be trusted.

You mean like Hillary disclosing the whereabouts of ambassador Stevens?

Oh, is that a new verse in the Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi song and dance?

Republicans are making a fatal mistake. Trump's popularity has nothing to do with him. It's an insurrection. If they dismiss it, they will have failed perhaps forever.

When investors are involved and you bail out making a killing because you know about the upcoming bankruptcy then yes, that counts as insider trading.

He did nothing unethical or illegal.

Are you sure about that?
I am quite sure,

Right now they are digging into the skeletons in T-Rump's closet and some of them are most definitely unethical and quite possibly illegal too.

So you can wait for the findings to be released to the media or you can do what T-Rump always did and bail out before you take the hit.

The smart move is to bail on him now because those skeletons are not pretty.

T-Rump won't survive intense scrutiny and there are a lot of people out there digging up those skeletons right now.
