Robotics and AI are going to change manufacturing even more in the future than they already have

It will employ fewer but more productive workers building and maintaining the machines that do the actual manufacturing

As I have pointed out for a number of years when Trump came to office last time he cancelled Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) and replaced with nothing. That gave China a massive win, one that still pays off today. China couldn't have written a better script (See Links below).
