I seen a video a few months ago, that went into the different dates found on food. Most of the dates are for the retailer and/or manufacturer and has little to nothing to do with the food itself and none of it is required by law. The ONLY things that are required by law to have dates and should be adhered to are baby formula and prescription drugs. That's it. Anything else is optional. Unfortunately too many people and food distribution centers take any date as absolute gospel.

That this food was never sent, and is now being destroyed, shows the level of cruelty inherent in this administration towards people of color, all around the world. How can you not take a wide view of this administration and not see that every punitive action it takes is against people of color, while every benefit bestowed is going to whites, with great effort to steer it towards both the wealthy and Trump supporters?
How much money have farmers gotten from Trump when his tariffs failed the first time? I saw today they are getting another handout of $16 billion, and I can't remember what for. And they will happily take their handouts.

It wouldn't take a whole lot of effort to show this pattern keeps repeating itself under Trump.

Except this food wasn't sent under Biden, either. It sat in a warehouse and was allowed to expire, because we didn't want it to go to Afghanistan or Pakistan, who it was originally intended for.

The reason it was "expired" is because Trump immediately, from day one, ordered the dismantling and abolishment of USAID, because he knew who the recipients were of this aid. He ordered all future shipments halted.

Try harder.

Um, no, it didn't expire in six months.

It was purchased under Biden to send aid to Afghanistan, but when the Taliban took over Afghanistan, the food was allowed to rot in place.

Now, yes, Trump has made a right mess of USAID, and a lot of people are going to suffer. But this food probably would have been thrown away even if Harris had won.
