Unfortunately trump never got the support from republicans on capital hill that he needed to cut spending

for is first two years in office he was plagued by the phony mueller witch-hunt and later by the impeachment trial

None of that excuses anything. He had a veto pen. He chose to wait until he had less than a month left in his term to use it and that was strictly for showmanship.

Which of the two parties has been more responsible with taxpayer dollars? Or to make the question palatable for you, which has been less irresponsible?

They've been equally reckless since the turn of the century.

That is bullshit. And it is your constant reliance on such bullshit that makes your holier than thou message board attitude fall flat.

No, it isn't bullshit. It is 100% accurate, but your partisan reaction is hardly a surprise. You see what you want to see, period.

Facts are not partisan.

Correct, but that doesn't stop you from trying, does it?

One man against the world?

He's the president, isn't he? Take the case straight to the people and stop making excuses.

libs like you would be screaming your heads off in mindless rage during the government shutdown

Who are "libs like you?" Oh, that's right. I'm criticizing Republicans, therefore I must be a Democrat because since you live in a binary world of zeroes and ones where you exercise no independent thought of your own whatsoever, you just assume the rest of us do as well.

And regarding your government shutdown comment, you're correct. I don't approve of "shutdowns" that close an whopping 13% of federal government agencies who all get retroactively paid anyway once the shutdown is over, thus eliminating the entire point to begin with.

Go run along now. The other lemmings are waiting.

Tax and spend is far more responsible than the GOP's borrow and spend.

If you Republicans are so concerned about "fiscal responsibility" (ha), all you have to do is CUT SPENDING BEFORE CUTTING TAXES.

Go ahead and run on cutting Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, any number of departments, whatever you want.

If you win, CUT SPENDING FIRST, THEN CUT TAXES.

Show some honesty and some balls for a change.

This is after he criticized Obama for his massive debt spending. When will the Republican Party stop lying to the people about being fiscal conservatives?

Blame politicians who make up the budget. Blame Communist China for shipping a virus over while some suggested you keep your borders open and go out and have a good time.

Furthermore, the latest massive spending could have been put off by Trump and started off the Biden admin. with a massive bill, instead, it's all done under Trumps admin (for posturing purposes?).

Ultimately, the West will be bankrupted in due time and China will continue to spend the money that is shipped over to them to buy Western politicians (they same ones who make it easy to ship them money, when they aren't doing so on their citizens behalf with "deals" such as the Paris Accord) and citizens in high positions to betray their governments.

You will eventually go the way of Canada. Our RCMP and their provincial surrogates don't solve crimes unless they are manufacturing them. Our police have become a National Security threat, and our greatest enemies know this as our top talent leave. Everyone with their hand in the cookie jar as Ontario in particular goes belly up.

Take heed though, Trump has now been replaced by the most popular incoming president in U.S history. The Harris/Biden administration will have the budget under control within a month. They won't have to deal with the peak of the virus, and, certainly California and New York (how have they handled the virus there?) won't be bailed out for decades of misuse, nor will China return to top dog status because the career politicians are running the show again.

You now have the greatest incoming administration in U.S history so all will be ok soon.

Trump negotiated increases, not cuts. He’s never ever tried to cut. Deficit donald loves the credit card. Right now he wants $2000 relief.

This is the new normal. Our leaders do not lead all they care about is winning elections at any cost. Keep the people divided with wedge issues and do what the fuck they want. We sit around and say screw the Republicans, screw the Democrats, and screw the independent. They get excuses why nothing ever gets done. Wish I knew how to fix it.

Dont tell the trump voters who your side stabbed in the back

your party is in charge now

or will be in a few days

if you want to cut spending just do it and stop talking about it

but you wont because democrats LUV welfare and wiping every nose too much

Though I suppose you can gut the military which dems also love to do

the government shuts down

Not only that, this is a posting that is an indictment on the entire government of both parties, not just Trump.

He should have held out during the first shutdown, that is what I would have done. Too many people were in his ear telling him to give in. His first year was when he should have taken the stance. Even as he had to face the ongoing Russia, Russia bs.

There is no president from here on out, who will be able to take office if he is a debt hawk. It's clear some refuse to accept that.

China is waiting on the wings. You can bet, those with great means are going to find out just how little value their money has when the Communist Party run the globe. Even if they convert their cash to yuan before hand.
