President Trump and members of the Trump administration have repeatedly and publicly declared that a takeover of the National Guard would be illegal.

Here’s the evidence​

If federal law enforcement can't perform its duties, title 10 allows for the use of the guard and other military branches to provide assistance.

Right now all they are doing is backing up ICE so ICE can do its Legally mandated job.
