I was one of the people who watched the entirety of the HBO series, Treme, looking forward to each new episode as it came up.

In many ways, it was as good as The Wire, and offered a good look at the music, partying, "Indian," and drinking culture of New Orleans as seen by the locals. The participation and inclusion of scores of local musicians and other characters was as enjoyable as the multiple plot lines.

I'm grateful to the writers and producers for the recent close-out episode that sewed up most of the various story lines and put the series to bed.

There are many cable series that warrant renting the different seasons and going through them rapid-fire over the course of a week or so, and Treme is one of them. If you haven't seen it...
