“Travis told police Arbery “squared up” like he was going to attack.” So he shot him in the chest.

God this is all funny! We have a video of the black attacking a man legally holding his weapon. Legally discharged his weapon after being attacked.. stop with your nonsense
They hit Arbery with their truck as they were chasing him. Arbery was acting in self-defense. Travis forfeited his legal right of self-defense when he committed felonious aggravated assault.
Hit him? Was he injured?
Don't know if he was injured.
Didn’t they do an autopsy he Musta had broken bones That was a big truck
Again, don't know if he was injured.

it wasn’t a direct hit.

Investigators found a swipe from a palm print on the rear door of Bryan's truck, cotton fibers near the truck bed that "we attribute to contact with Mr. Arbery" and a dent below the fibers, he said.

Hero’s are good shots
They can brag about that in prison.

Arbery did not attack Travis per Travis until after Arbery was shot and wounded in the chest.
The video shows otherwise, dumbass.

And Travis should not be talking to anyone but his lawyer.

Warning to all gun owner: If god forbid you have to shoot someone in self-defense, never talk to the cops. They are not your friends. Nothing you can possibly say to them will help you and anything you say will be used against you in a court of law.

You have a right to remain silent, exercise it!

The only one you should talk to about the incident is your lawyer, and if your lawyer advises you to talk to the cops, fire him.

very true

The video shows otherwise, dumbass.

You cannot see the first shot on the video.

The Transcript of the hearing tells us AA had blood on his shirt when you can see AA attacking TM. AA was wounded trying to disarm his attacker.

Jesse Evans: (51:38)
During Travis McMichael’s interview with police, did he make any admissions about firing the fatal gunshots in this particular case?

Richard Dial: (51:46)
He did. He admitted firing the weapon three times.

Jesse Evans: (51:50)
And the first shot that he articulated, where did he indicate to the police that that shot landed?

Richard Dial: (51:56)
The chest, Mr. Arbery’s chest.

Jesse Evans: (51:58)
So the first shot that Mr. Travis McMichael said that was inflicted on Mr. Arbery was one of the chest wounds that you had articulated here, correct?

Richard Dial: (52:07)
That is correct.

Jesse Evans: (52:08)
And is there video evidence that you saw that tends to corroborate based on your observation that that is an accurate statement that the chest wounds was, or least one of the chest wounds, was the first shot that was fired at the deceased victim Mr. Arbery?

Richard Dial: (52:25)
Yes, sir, there is.

Jesse Evans: (52:26)
Can you articulate for the court how that is that you’re able to see that?

Richard Dial: (52:29)
After the first shot, again, you see a struggle between Travis McMichael and Mr. Arbery. During that struggle, Mr. Arbery, while he was wearing a white shirt during this incident, during that struggle, you see the front of his shirt is saturated with blood.

Jesse Evans: (52:44)
He’s already saturated blood before the struggle that you can see on the video?

Richard Dial: (52:49)
Well that’s correct, during the struggle is mere seconds after the first shot, his front of his shirt is saturated with blood.

Your hero should rot in prison for the rest of his life.

You can certainly see AA break left and charge straight at him, like a DE going for a sack, before the sound of the first shot.

“before the sound of the first shot” at the end of your statement makes you a liar.

The video does not show either man when the first shot hits AA in the chest.

Liar. Fuck you. You are full of shit. I saw the video. Watched it at .25 speed in this YouTube video.

Watch from 0:23 to 0:26 in slow motion.

AA clearly charged several steps straight at him before the sound of the first shot.

The video doesn't lie, Democrats do..

And the statement of the person doing the shooting? Was he lying?

Three white men with two pickup trucks. A shotgun and a 357 Magnum were chasing and cornering a jogger in shorts and T-shirt for four minutes back and forth up and down the street until TravisM as he told police that they met In front of the truck when his victim squared up like he was going to attack so he fired at the squared up man’s chest and wounded him.

If your legal defense for your murderer hero Is that TravisM had the right to shoot a man wearing shorts and a t-shirt they had been chasing and confronting for four minutes in broad daylight with the victim never showing a sign that he was armed suddenly caused TravisM to panic on the grounds that the jogger maybe had firearm - you are dumber than all three dumbass white men combined. Boy are you dumb.
And the "fucking ******" comment standing over the dying body...kinda seal the deal

That explains the support from our local resident racists.

But the shooter told police he shot the victim in the chest before the victim started to attack.,

You are contradicting what the shooter told the police. How in a right mind can you do that?

It is easy. This poor deluded fool we are debating has created a narrative in his mind, and nothing will change it. The narrative of course, is based on fiction. Imagine him six hundred years ago, and you will see the worse of humanity. The Inquisition, Although they were better educated. He is the sort who would stand on the pier and scream that Christopher Columbus was going to fall off the edge of the world when they set sail. When they returned successful, he would stand and scream that they were lying because we can see with our own eyes the earth was flat.
Everybody with a brain knows when you run directly at somebody with a shotgun and try to attack them you’re going to get shot it is mine boggling that he did not shoot earlier.

everybody with a brain knows that when a first person witness, especially one that was di-rectly involved & fully participated in a man's murder tells you what happened ... it probably did.
All that matters is what allowed in court

it will be. all this was testified to, under oath - during the preliminary hearing.

d'oh!
Probably won’t matter we have video and eye witness

ummmm... the eye witness - who shot the video --- confessed to arbery being shot trying to defend himself.
He could see through the truck!? Wow! I’m talking about the father. He saw everything, and was a cop. He has more respect

LOL!!!!

actually he was no longer a cop. & when he was on the force - he was a lousy one.
‘A great embarrassment’: records offer insight into Ahmaud Arbery suspect

Gregory McMichael lost his power of arrest in 2006 after failing to complete sufficient basic law enforcement training

Gregory McMichael, the white retired law enforcement officer who helped chase down and kill Ahmaud Arbery, an unarmed 25-year-old African American man, failed to complete sufficient basic law enforcement training for years, a deficiency that led to him losing his power of arrest.

McMichael, who worked as an investigator in the Brunswick judicial circuit district attorney’s office from 1995 to 2019, lost his power of arrest in January 2006 for failing to complete the required 20 hours of training the previous year, according to personnel records obtained by the Guardian.

He continued to be deficient in his training for the years that followed and didn’t get the waiver required to reinstate his power of arrest authority. Some of the training McMichael lacked included required courses on use of force and firearms.

The records also shed light on McMichael’s close relationship with Jackie Johnson, the district attorney for the Brunswick judicial circuit, who recused herself from the case and is now subject to a state investigation of how the case was handled.

Cool copy and paste. Lol sounds like the record of your avg black cop lol

Nothing in that BBC report says squaring up to fight lol you LIAR

how about this?

Under questioning by Jason Sheffield, an attorney for Travis McMichael, Dial said Travis told police he raised his shotgun at Arbery from roughly 90 feet (27 meters) away and told him to stop and get on the ground.

That’s when Arbery ran around the passenger side of Travis’ truck, and the two men met in front of it.

Dial said Travis told police Arbery “squared up” like he was going to attack.

“There’s a statement that he might have had his hand on his shirt,” Dial said. “Travis McMichael said his adrenaline was pumping and it all happened very quickly.”

He said Travis then fired the first shot into Arbery’s chest.

1st thats not what the police report says,

2nd if that’s true they were conducting a citizen’s arrest,, manslaughter, 3 months in jail see ya later
Then the family gets sued for illegal forceable detainer which is a lot less than negligent homicide. Those two white boys just ruined not only their lives but their families due to the liability issues they didn't think about. All over an alleged incident.
Well after all the neighbors testify they were all on high alert and Arbery was terrorizing the neighborhood, then McMichaels will sue arberys mother.. which they should no matter what.

Well so far the neighbors testimony has pretty much removed Life from the possible sentences. Now the best that Travis can hope for is Life without Parole. Daddy and Roddy might just get Life. But Parole will be tough. And in Daddy’s case. Twenty years is certainly a death sentence.

if that ex cop is put in the general population - he sure won't be around for 20 yrs.
