Transgender diagnosis

Don't laugh. Some people think that they are animals. Why then do surgeons not surgically attach a tail?

That is a good question.

They do, sometimes...…...I saw a bunch of clickbait photos of surgical alterations of (well-tattooed) individuals who had tail, horns, and large canines implanted medically.

Sexy now, but what about when they're 74?

It does seem to me there are some real ethical issues about cutting breasts or penises off children of 18. Or implanting people with horns or vampire teeth. Oh, Freedom!
What the **** does vampire horns and teeth have to do with the transgender issue? Have completely lost you mind?!!

Its just another form of mutilation of a healthy body part, that's the point. The best of psychiatric scientists determined back in the day, that the Prefrontal Lobotomy was a useful surgery. Nowadays, its other forms of mutilation.

2000 years from now, people will read the history of our times, they won't believe that the leaders of our time actually thought that amputation of a man's penis made them a broad.

It's very common for people to live with mental disorders for years and then something happens that brings it all to the surface. In almost all cases of transgender it makes it appears at young age often before puberty. The child may or may not adapt. Those that can't end up in some form of therapy. Those that can adapt do in various ways such as cross dressing, engaging in homosexual relationships, assuming the role of their gender or even totally rejecting their sexuality. However, at some point in their lives something happens and they find themselves having to confront the same problem they had as child and adaption does not work for them.

However, even knowing that gender cannot be changed, therapy is used as encouragement that gives false hope that it can. Keep feeding kids with hormones and telling them Cinderella is real, instead of facing them with reality. Once they face the reality on their own, and realize there are no unicorns, what's left for them?
Facing the reality of the mismatch of one's gender and sex is exactly what counseling and psychotherapy attempted to accomplish for years with poor results. They then attempted to modify gender so it matched the person's sex, with only slightly better results. Medical Science in the 70's offered transgender people a way to alter their sexual characteristic in a way that they would resemble the functions socially associated with their identified gender. This has been the most successful treatment but it certainly falls short of a true match between sex and gender.

I don't think its been that successful at all- suicide rates and other erratic behavior isn't any less common among people that have had sex changes and those who have not.

Actually, Sex Change operations started before the 1970's, pioneer gender bender Christine Jorgensen had it done in the early 1950's.

If the advancement in medical science over the next two thousands is as great as the past, a child's genome will not be just edited but redesigned to produce a child without the social and physical undesirable characteristic that exist today.

That's a big "if", knowledge can be lost as well as gained. My own guess is that society is heading for a dark ages period of Socialist Hell, where knowledge will be lost, but eventually the works of the giants of our time will again cause civilization to rise again. Banned books like the Holy Bible and Art of the Deal will be rediscovered.

There're been about 45 studies done on this with conflicting results. However, it would not be surprising that rates would be higher for those that go all the way and have sex reassignment surgery compared to those that are just diagnosed because people that go through the sex change medical procedures are the people that suffer the most from the disorder. Many people that are diagnosed with gender identification disorder are able to adapt and never go through a sex change. So comparing people that have undergone sexual reassignment surgery with people that have just been diagnosed is an apples and oranges comparison.

There is no proof that those who have had sex change surgery have suffered any more than those who have not. In fact, ability to pay has traditionally been a big barrier to people having dickectomies.

Some people may want the operation, but don't want to or can't pay.

No, it's the same thing exactly. The animal people want to be something they really aren't, and they talk some doctor into surgically making them look more animal-like. Same deal with trannies, who persuade surgeons to cut pieces off and prescribe hormones and on and on because they also want to be something they aren't, a different sex than the sex they really are.

You don't have to wait 2000 years! Almost nobody believes it now. Even the trannies---that's why 40% kill themselves. Ooops, made kind of a big mistake there; and no way back.

Yeah, good cartoon --- probably this tranny business is not a life path young people should be encouraged to take. Too many now ARE being encouraged to "change sex," especially at colleges.

It would help if doctors hungry for money weren't arranging with schools and all sorts of organizations to do sex mutilations on demand. Surely this is unethical! I think all such doctors should be stripped of their licenses. Confused young people get caught in this trap and their lives ruined, and in 4 out of 10 cases, kill themselves. There is something deeply wrong going on here. Probably doctors looking for an easy, big payday.

I was supposed to be a horse. I want my feet removed & replaced with hooves. Where’s your science that says I’m crazy (delusional)? Who are you to say I’m not actually a horse?

I like it. Centaurs: in ancient Greece people who wanted to be part horse got the back half sewn onto their bottoms, right? Then they were really-really half horse, right? Okay, it was a myth, but there are crazies right now who would do it in a minute if the technology existed.

Very young children, barely in school at all, are being encouraged to change genders as well. Doctors give them hormonal treatments to suppress puberty, IMHO, any doctor that does something like this should be shot. Destroying a young person's life like this is inexcusable.

I was having a discussion online about a school establishing restroom procedures for their Tranny students a couple of years ago. I wondered what are the chances that a school with only a couple of thousand students would have any. Now it somehow became popular.

Christine Jorgensen was a WWII veteran who came back from the war and decided to switch genders. As crazy as that is, at least he lived life and made a decision based upon facts he learned in life. With children , its a different story all together. It really shouldn't even be legal for someone under 25.

Just to clarify, many including trans people think that gender exists and it's different from their sex. It doesn't. Speaking of, they think that if they can "chose" their gender identity, that also identifying their sex. It doesn't.

Sure, we who do not agree are being labeled as transphobic, like that is somehow suppose to make me feel bad and force me change my mind. The "phobia" is me not appreciating being shamed for refusing to acknowledge what they think they know because they feel their made up "gender" is different from their clearly identifiable sex.

Whether I think of them as a man or woman is on them, not me, and real sex change is impossible so they might as well try to fix their mind. Perhaps one could make an albeit leftist-tier case for rape for passable trannies tricking people into thinking they're something they're not. There's definitely something wrong with lying to everyone about something like that.

On my end, although it may be interesting topic, frankly I don't really care. Let them do whatever the **** they want, but don't expect me to participate in their mental illness. Don't expect me to act like their are normal. I do somehow feel sorry for their state of mind, but I don't feel sorry for them when they commit suicide. It's on them, not on me.
