Toyota Touts Solid State EVs With 932-Mile Range, 10-Minute Charging by 2027

The starting price for a 1990 Ford F150 Single Cab base model was $11,990, while the top of the range model started at $17,710.

Today The sticker price on a new Ford F-150 depends on the model and options, and can range from $36,875 to $84,495

So 30 years the price tripled. Went up $10K a year. So in 2035 the cost of a gas car will be $15K more than right now.

You can't possibly believe car manufacturers are going to cut their prices because dolts like you and Kamala Harris believe in a weird weather-panic religion.

Why not? Look at all the things you believe on faith. Or all the things you believe even though they've been proven to be lies.

Yes, human activities are the primary cause of climate change. The scientific consensus is that human activities, especially greenhouse gas emissions, are the primary cause of the warming observed since the mid-20th century.

Damn, you're even dumber than I thought you were!

Why because I don't believe like you that when I die I myself turn into a god who lives forever and goes off to a place not of this universe to live for an eternity and never get sick, mad or sad?

Maybe it's you who's stupid?

Thanks to far leftist Democrat incompetence and meddling causing record breaking inflation.

When it happens (and it absolutely will) all the dinosaurs (see above) won't be shrieking how it will never happen, that is if their calcified brains can still comprehend what happened.

In the meantime, they will rail against climate change and EV's, as their pea sized brains have been instructed to do.
Is that why the Child Labor will stop in the Congo??

Why do you hate Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and Christians so much? Who hurt you?

Not the ceo pay going up 1322% in the last 40 years? It was our 18% pay increase in that time that caused inflation a.

You fools. The rich are getting richer, richer, richer. And you complain with and for them. Weird

You need to do the math. Now I'm not arguing that CEO pay should have gone up as it has, but the amount of money contained in everyone else's pay is orderS of magnitude larger than the amount being paid to CEOs.

How much a CEO makes has nothing to do with me or take anything out of my pocket..
His responsibility to the company is a million times more than me or the other hourly workers.
Which is why a CEO deserves the big bucks. ....

And even then I'm gonna wait till all the bugs get worked out...
If it happens, I'm gonna wait for China to steal the tech and get their kinks worked out for a year or so. :auiqs.jpg:

I just picked up a lithium battery, those things are heavy. Really I'd like something that did about 50% more and weighed 50% less.

EV cars weigh a lot more than gasoline and diesel cars.
So they damage the roads and highways like trucks do.
EV's owners should be taxed at a higher rate to use our roads.

Gen 2 is coming and looks much more viable.
As Gen 1 sales have slowed in the last year. now they may slow further as potential buyers wait for these hugely incremental stats.
That's the thing about tech: it gets much better over time. (as we've seen with solar and wind's app 90 improvement in efficiency and cost since 2010.

Toyota Touts Solid State EVs With 932-Mile Range, 10-Minute Charging by 2027

Toyota says it has found a technological breakthrough that will allow it to bring solid state batteries to market as early as 2027.
It's one of several advanced battery technologies that will underscore the brand's new EV focus as it pivots away from its former CEO's hybrid-centric strategy.

Solid state batteries promise greater energy density, higher electric range, and faster charging that puts refueling time on-par with a gas-powered vehicle. Scientists, researchers, and automakers have spent decades trying to crack the code on their commercialization, but so far no EVs have them, including Toyota's own offerings: the Toyota bZ4X and Lexus RZ.

Sounds awesome.
How much more expensive are the batteries?

Seems like a reasonable idea. We coud add another 2 cents/gal to the gas tax.
How will you tax the trucks when they become EVs?

I've been following the story of solid state batteries for a while

I'm ready build me a beautiful bad ass Lexus ...only problem we don't HAVE the infrastructure....and 7 billion on 7 charging stations ain't cutting it ...

You need a massive build up of electrical generation which solar and wind can not deliver

Add a tax when EV cars/trucks use the charging stations.
