Toxic empathy is one of the greatest threats facing the United States today. A block of voters who will vote for their own demise because they’ve allowed irrational emotions to control them is a serious problem. I would go so far as to say if very well might end up being an actual mental illness if properly studied by professionals, as normal people simply do not support lawlessness, crime, collapse, etc. out of pity for thugs, deviants, foreigners, etc.

What you are referring to is toxic virtue signaling because if they really cared about women and blacks, for example, they would actually do something to help them.

What the Left does is, feed off the misery of others due to their oppressed group status for political benefit, or if there is no oppressed group status, pretend there is by creating it yourself.

For if the DNC ever admitted that these so-called oppressed groups ever had their oppression ended or that it never existed in the first place, the DNC would then have to treat everyone equally from then on. It would destroy their political power.
