The bipartisan bill was dog shit and would have exasperated many of these issues. As it turns out we didn't need new legislation to stop illegal border crossings; we just needed a president that took the border seriously.

Doesn't a vehicle have to be cited by an officer before being towed? I find it hard to believe that tow truck companies can arbitrarily effect what amounts to a citizen's arrest without evidence.

But there is also the issue of public street vs. private property.

If they are in a parking lot, private property, there is a difference around here.

I would think that a bunch of guys (and/or gals) getting out of an SUV with weapons on their hip, and wearing vests with "ICE" in big block letters would be the EXACT same warning in terms of time as someone sticking something in the vehicle window that says "ICE Squad".

So please explain how you imagine this happens as advanced warning?

Maybe to some extent, however, you want the vehicles marked right? Do you think that these vehicles would be marked, attacked, and subsequently, destroyed by abettors of the illegals? Why take that risk....?
