Inside the walls of our country exists this double standard, where some don't want 'economic classes' and where we vilify the rich and the successful. Yet, there is this class of people in our country that seem to get a pass and are considered political spokes people for 'the people'. Hollywood and those within that circle.
The left will vilify CEOs, but at the same time, when were the the salaries of actors and the hollywood elites ever part of those conversations? They aren't. The top three actors in 2024; The Rock, Ryan Reynolds, and Kevin Hart, yet the left don't bat an eye on the monies paid to actors, which combine is about $240 Million. Yet, many of these actors leverage the capitalist free market unfettered to earn even more money - Clooney selling his tequila brand for a $1Billion.
George Clooney is estimated to be worth $500 - $600 Million. It appears when he sold his tequila brand, that's where the vast majority of this wealth was amassed. But besides the tangible income, his 'celebrity' brand seems to be worth much more in the political sphere.
And for some reason, the media seem to think that American's care what Clooney and many other celebrities think. But does the MSM and the left ever consider that the Celebrity class is exactly the opposite of what they want for America? The celebrity class uses the free market to negotiate their wages and pay, even if the end product is lack luster in box office draw, which isn't much different than a CEO getting paid millions while the company they run tanks. The celebrity class lives lavish and many times debaucherous lifestyles, but are heralded as champions for the people, while simultaneously out of touch with true America.
The celebrity class is nothing more than our real world example of The Capital in the fictional world of PanAm from the Hunger Games.
Yet, we Americans let the MSM tout and parade these people in front of us as if they are gods without question, while at the same time not realizing that the celebrity class is exactly what the left speaks against.
