Today's lesson on "Birthright Citizenship". NO EUROPEAN COUNTRY ALLOWS IT.

The poorly written 14th Amendment is the Democrat's favorite transformer tool. They take fragments of it and create whatever "Law" they want.
The Constitution can be amended if enough AMERICANS want it to be. I see a lot of people bitching about it, but not so many actually trying to change it.

Personally I don't see a need to. :dunno:

Doesn't have to be. It just needs to be interpreted correctly.

You ever hear about the hurricane that sank a French invasion force? That happened, this is America.
And you know where the term "kamikaze" comes from, right? (long before WWII)

What actually happens some time is that the top court makes a ruling on a controversial matter, the People hate it, and they demand a change to a law or, in this case, the Constitution.

THIS Supreme Court is unlikely to overturn a long-term precedent, even if it is Constitutionally incorrect. They don't want to rock the boat and cast a shadow over the citizenship of millions of Americans, even if they stipulate that the rule is only changed prospectively. So they will retain the reading of the 14th that has prevailed until now.

I suspect that more than half of the country thinks it's bullshit, but it requires a super-majority to pass a Constitutional Amendment, and with every ******* Democrat in the country fighting it, that will not happen.

It wouldn't be retroactive.

Plessy was on the books for 70+ years. Roe, 40+

The change in the law would not effect the lives of a single American. Which is one of the things they look at when considering stare decisis.

Not just every ******* democrat. There are almost certainly A LOT of Republicans who wouldn't be thrilled to see their parents stripped of their citizenship.
