It's "that bad" for a vast minority of people who get it. My brother and I both had it. For the week that I felt sick, there were two days which were really bad. But that was it. I didn't get any experimental drugs or procedures. A friends sent me zinc, vitamin D, vitamin C and melatonin and I took those.

And then somehow, as if by magic, I was cured...
