To The Gym !!

Apparently the experience shower is a full on power shower on turbo and at the end of it you get sprayed with all sorts of nice smelling stuff. As its free I am deffo going to have a go.

I have never been in a gym before let alone joined one. I hope I dont make any silly social mistakes.

My plan is a few lengths of the pool doing anle twisting exercises,a bit of sauna and steam room followed by the experience shower. Then upstairs for a high protein banana milk shake with Ice cream and a chocolate flake.

I will also observe the ongoing tranny situation and report back on any perceived threat to my manliness.
Make sure you cover yourself with a towel....no one wants to see your disgusting Limey ass.
A burqini would be better.
Is this the Limey in the pool?

One gym I went to had a hot tub that was a bubbling cauldron of bio hazard waste, lots of people got sick. The locker room smelled like a giant sweaty sneaker and the guys sat on the bench bare ass naked.

Yeah, the whirlpool at the gym is ******* gross. I've used it twice and each time I caught a minor itch. No thanks.
For that you should go to a real spa. Last time I went, there were a bunch of us naked ladies in the pool and a really hunky workman repairing the lights. I think that guy really enjoyed his job.

But now that trans peeps might see me naked I just go to the steam room wrapped in a towel.

I don't think I like whirlpools...anywhere. I have rather sensitive skin and every time I use one I feel all itchy afterwards.
They are probably over chlorinating.
They need to kill the creatures trying to crawl out.

I prefer sitting in front of the computer getting drunk and jerking off. The gym is for fags.

I joined Planet Fitness this winter, when it got to icey and dark to run (plus my motivation to run in those conditions was plummeting) - so I used the treadmill, and it worked for a while but then I started getting serious pain in ankles and shins. I do much better outside on the trails. Not sure what I'll do next winter.

You should adopt my exercise routine.

I get bored on the hamster wheel :(

I prefer the gerbil tunnel.

ohhhh gym showers
first time i have ever seen another male butt naked in my LIFE...

I taught I became gay after that...

I know me well ... I'll go a gym one time and the rest of the fee would be a waste. Fortunately, I have a great walking situation right in my apartment complex. I do the entire route - 2 miles on average in about 30-35 minutes. Up and down hills of varying degrees of incline, up and down stairs as I mostly like the sidewalks instead of the driveways. Then there's always the combination cow pasture/cemetery across the road ...two killer hills ... one short (sort of) very steep and the other much longer but steep enough to make you feel like you're not going to make it to the top. Good workout. My son gave me a fancy treadmill for when I can't go out.

I did the gym thing in my younger days. Crowded pool, cueing up to use the weight machines, smelly locker rooms are not my cup of tea. As soon as I bought a house, I set up a gym there. When I got married, husband added his gym equipment. The only thing we don't have is a pool- an acceptable trade off for convenience, privacy and a higher level of cleanliness.
You could always jump against the stream of water from your shower head..

You all need to join a gym and live the healthy lifestyle.

As a Gym going regular I can testify to the benefits.

Yes I have joined a local Gym. On the advice of my Physio who thinks that use of the pool would help my ankle recovery.

I have had a look around and it all seems very nice. Pool, sauna, steam room and "experience shower" are all in close proximity and I think that I might enjoy myself a great deal.

Does anyone else on here do the Gym thing ?

This is costing about £50 pcm - about $70 I think.
Yes, about $32/month but no pool, sauna or steam room. Showers for cleaning.

I mostly go for morning classes. I don't have to think, just do. Plus it's both cheaper than a personal trainer and more fun because, since it's during the work week, it's all women and me.

My favorite classes are weights, cycle and yoga.

The elliptical is the best way for low-impact cardio. Cycle is second. I'd recommend a cycle class since just sitting there alone is boring.

I am going to watch a few classes before making my mind up. A friend told me that there is one class where you basically lie down and have a nap. That sounds achievable.

Nap time is awesome! :D

I'm 60 and still work. My job is managerial, in the field and involves risk analysis and, literally, life & death decision-making. Classes allow me to just stop thinking and relax while simultaneously having a solid, balanced work-out and learning something new.

I work out harder in class than alone. Learning something new is great for the brain by keeping it active albeit also low stress. Great for both mind and body.

I work out at home. Why pay for a gym membership? Just get yourself some weights (bar bells and dumb bells). Maybe invest in a bench (I don't have a bench - I just lay down on the floor).

Creative, I must admit, however it seems that it would be much harder on your plumbing and brain than most alternative methods.
