This is how the gun grabbers in Britain have gone after hunters with their hunting shotguns.....and you better believe American gun grabbers want the same, and more, here....
Fudd Alert! Only Landowners Can Lend a Shotgun in the UK - The Truth About Guns
As the law stands, Section 11(5) of the 1968 Act allows “an individual, without holding a shotgun certificate, to borrow a shotgun from the occupier of private premises and use it on those premises in the occupier’s presence”.
Taking your son or daughter out shooting or participating in a Young Shots day, where they can be taught and experience handling and using a shotgun, is one of the best ways to introduce the younger generation safely to the sport. But unless you are borrowing a shotgun from the “occupier” of the land and the occupier is “present”, then this cannot legally be done. If there is no occupier present the only way for a young person to participate is to obtain a shotgun certificate.
One point.......they allow the rich and the powerful to own shotguns for hunting on their private estates.......soooooo....what keeps them from walking into a school, a theater or a mall with their shotguns....or having them stolen by a nut......and shooting a lot of people....?
Which gun control law prevents that....
And of course......last year there was a 19 year old who ordered up a Glock 19 on the dark web with enough ammo to more than double the murders from our Sandy Hook shooting....did British gun control stop him....? No....the idiot started posting about going to his former university to shoot people...and the Bobbies arrested him.....not one British gun control law stopped him from getting the gun...or stopped him from being a mass shooter...
