I think that would probably depend on what you were protesting. And if I was protesting, and the police came to arrest me, I would obey their orders.
How about, if i choked your son or neighbor to death for mouthing off, and wasn't charged?
How about, if i did that on a regular basis?
I think you might have an idealized vision of yourself.
My son, wouldn't mouth off to a police officer.
I know this, because my father taught me not to mouth off, and every single time I have interacted with an officer, I never did.
I similarly would teach my son, the same life lessons about authority, that my father taught to me.
That's because we're good people.
See that's the problem with people like you. You keep saying "what if X happened to you!".... but X wouldn't happen to me.
Good people don't act like trash. Thus are not treated like trash.
Now if there is an officer that just flips out and kills someone, we deal with that. There have been several other cases where an officer had a melt down, and shot someone, and they were fired and/or charged with a crime.
But the vast vast majority of the time.... good people don't get choked. We don't mouth off to someone who has a gun.
If fact, that's more than just being a good person... it's being smarter than a worm. You don't mouth off.... to someone who has a gun.
So not only am I a good person and thus won't have that happen, but I'm smart enough to not have that happen.
Again.... "what if X happened to you or your son, or your neighbor!"..... it wouldn't. It's that simple. Smart, better people, don't have that happen.
Fools and evil people have that happen. Yes, few exceptions, very few... but generally.... that's the truth.
