The scenario the shadow campaigners were desperate to stop was not a Trump victory. It was an election so calamitous that no result could be discerned at all, a failure of the central act of democratic self-governance that has been a hallmark of America since its founding.

I like the opening paragraphs in your link..

A weird thing happened right after the Nov. 3 election: nothing.
The nation was braced for chaos. Liberal groups had vowed to take to the streets, planning hundreds of protests across the country. Right-wing militias were girding for battle. In a poll before Election Day, 75% of Americans voiced concern about violence.
Instead, an eerie quiet descended. As President Trump refused to concede, the response was not mass action but crickets. When media organizations called the race for Joe Biden on Nov. 7, jubilation broke out instead, as people thronged cities across the U.S. to celebrate the democratic process that resulted in Trump’s ouster'....spot on!!

Yes, would-be totalitarians always believe they have a good reason to take control.

That is why they choke and get fools to try and overthrow Congress.

If it was anything, it was a conspiracy to keep the electoral process from unraveling at the hands of the Orange Baboon-God and his minions.

Entirely legitimate, legal and righteous.

They just outsmarted Rump and his a$$wipes, and his minions are pi$$ed... to hell with 'em.

A hundred people tried to overthrow Congress?

You have no idea how stupid that sounds.

I know, it sounds like a really bad idea but they did it, the only thing more fricking insane was doing it for Trump and his lies...

Here's why one should always actually READ --- what a concept --- one's own links:

>> The handshake between business and labor was just one component of a vast, cross-partisan campaign to protect the election–an extraordinary shadow effort dedicated not to winning the vote but to ensuring it would be free and fair, credible and uncorrupted. <<
And now you get to essplain to the class how that's some kind of bad thing.

You won't. You'll just claim you were drunk posting.

Fear not Dave. I had an idea how stupid it sounded as soon as you plopped "A hundred people".

I get it. You're doing Ray from Rain Man. Ask him what something costs and everything is "hunnerd dollars. Yah, 'bout a hunnerd dollars".

"How much does a sports car cost, Ray?"
"Hunnerd dollars. 'Bout a hunnerd dollars"

"How many Insurrectionistas sacked the Capitol building on January 6th Ray?"

"'Bout a hunnerd. Yah, 'bout a hunnerd insurrectionistas".

It's unfortunate that you didn't read the link in TIME.

Look, I don't buy into the fraudulent election crap, but don't you find it has some sort of basis, even marginally, that so many states ignored their constitutions and changed election laws on a whim?
I'm not saying its enough to turn the election but isn't that some bullshit?

You wish it was true, but you can go to bed thinking it wasn't. Huge fucking conspiracy or mental disease.
