Thousands of West African migrants are pouring into the US after social media helped spread the word about a lesser-known, low-stakes path through Nicaragua.

Mauritanians are using WhatsApp, Instagram and other channels to guide fellow migrants along the route, which makes stops in Turkey, Colombia, El Salvador and Managua, Nicaragua, where they are whisked onto a bus by smugglers to cross the US-Mexican border, according to the Associated Press.

Nicaragua, crucially, has relaxed entry requirements that allow Mauritanians and other foreign nationals to purchase a low-cost visa without proof of onward travel.

It was wonderful with Trump in office. Mexico had 25,000+ troops on their southern border preventing the migrants from entering Mexico. That stopped the caravans and the undocumented entering our country had slowed to a trickle easily managed by the CBP. No doubt countless lives were saved both of the migrants and U.S. citizens.

Biden undid all that and now Mexico just waves them on through making no effort to stop or discourage them.

And we have millions upon millions of undocumented people from more than a 100 different countries pouring across our non existent southern border. Many of these are bad actors. Pretty much all will be draining our resources and weakening us as a country.
