It has become clear that Donald Trump is considered the most dangerous president in modern times. Trump is seen to be dangerous because he is on the precipice of becoming the most useful and effective leader of the free world and its greatest defender. Trump is on the verge of destroying the old guard of corrupt US leadership that thought it was fine to allow Iran, a country that took American hostages in 1979, to achieve enrichment of uranium and hold the entire world hostage.

Iran threatens the Strait of Hurmuz attempting to paralyze parts of the world that depend on oil for energy needs. They are also attacking neighbors in their region that do not share their goals. That alone is proof of the control that exists at the center of Iran’s clerically dominated stranglehold its people. The supreme leadership of Iran has a world-ending masterplan that calls for a final extinction of the “Great Satan”, the US and the “Little Satan”, Israel. Nuclear capability with delivery systems appears to be a logical move for them to pursue.

Some leadership in America knows Trump cannot be allowed to succeed before the midterms in America’s elections. If he removes Iran as a threat that will be a crushing defeat. So, Trump’s defeat must happen even it means Iran exists as a possible menace to world peace. Just waiting and watching will never work with cornered regimes like Iran. They will just wait it out and lie. The world waited and watched with Germany after World War One. How did that end? Was the world convinced that the Germans would just suddenly abide by the rules that put them at a disadvantage even if they acted to earn that disadvantage? What is happening with Iran may not be a repeat of history, but it is certainly a rhyme.

Trump is acting decisively to declaw Iran as a menace to world peace. It is a move that will make or break him. If this were a game of poker, Trump has gone all-in. He may have surveillance intelligence we do not have. He most likely acted on that intelligence. Trump is either seen as a savior of American values or a dangerous agent of change that strikes fear into those who fear change.

I voted for Trump and I am sticking with that vote. I respect what you think.

I think that Iran is like Nazi Germany. Its ideology must be stamped out. Trump is the only American President brave enough to do it.

What will this war with Iran really accomplish? Doesn't look like a new regime with a different system of gov't is gonna happen, the names may change but their objectives won't. Different people, same shit. So, where's the gain for us? Are we fighting a war so gas is cheaper? Is there an existential threat to us? Maybe it is, and quite frankly I wouldn't believe Trump if he said it was. But OTOH, I can't say it won't one day become one.

So, are we going to fight a war to prevent a future catastrophe? Don't say it couldn't happen, one day a terrorist group floats a boat(s) with dirty bombs built by Iran into a US harbor somewhere and a whole lot of people die? But will this war prevent that? I doubt it.

It looks as if Trump's being surprised by the predictable economic and political consequences of joining with Netanyahu in bombing Iran has him preparing to cut and run.

Will he abscond leaving extremist conservative theocrats still in power, in control of the Strait of Hormuz, and enriched nuclear materials still in their possession?

How will he spin his $ billion-per-day "little excursion" as a "Victory!"?

Iran needs to be told that in Papa Bush's words: "any mass destruction event would be dealt with most severely", and we have much bigger weapons. Iran should see it as an "extinction event warning".

As for Trump and his TACO, he seems to be choosing to "mow the grass" instead of invading Iran. Meaning that if Iran chooses to still pursue a nuclear weapon and ICBMs, we will be back to bomb the sh!t out of them again, and again, and again...

Thanks for soliciting other opinions. We all need to do so.
There is no doubt that the world is better without the current bad guys that have been taken out. But will that be enough to depose the evil regime.
Trump goes between we need regime change or we can put in members of the evil regime that are not as evil. Does that work?

Trump says we need to obtain their enriched uranium. Then he says he will not put boots on the ground. You cannot access the enriched uranium without boots on the ground.

I feel Trump is manageing the war by the seat of his pants. That may work in a real estate deal but not war. His bombastic comment are making things worse. I don't think the world or Iran trusts him.
Trump had the mindset to go into Iran, like no other President, but he does not seem to be a good manager of the war.

But, I hope for the very best results.

The results, and the analysis of how Trump managed the war, will have an influence on Trump's legacy. But Trump's legacy will be based on how his Presidencies affected the US, the Iran war being one of his actions.

Trump is dangerous because he does things like start a major war, then wants to pull out, and blame other nations for not cleaning up his mess.
What "major war"?
We just bombed the sh!t out of Iran's military to give the regime a clue what happens if they continue to pursue nuclear weapons.
Hopefully there is a regime change to something less dangerous.

Trump's options are invade and spend US lives, or tell Iran if they continue to pursue nuclear weapons we will be back to 'mow the grass" as often as necessary.
Will he abscond leaving extremist conservative mullahs still in power, in control of the Strait of Hormuz, and enriched nuclear materials still in their possession? How will he spin his $ billion-per-day "little excursion" as a "Victory!"?
The enriched uranium is buried. The Strait of Hormuz is more of an Asian and NATO problem than an American problem.
Iran fired missiles at Turkey, so NATO can open the strait if they want to.

Trump's "victory" was destroying Iran's nuclear development program and ICBM development program.
De-fanging the "state sponsor of terrorism" is a positive.
Also, warning Iran that we will "mow the grass" as often as necessary to keep stopping those programs.

A billion dollars a day is a major war.

Meaning that if Iran chooses to still pursue a nuclear weapon and ICBMs, we will be back to bomb the sh!t out of them again, and again, and again...
Like Israel does? Thats not the awesome idea you think it is.

A billion dollars a day is a major war.
Says who? No major combat. No major casualties. No army involvement. 30-days is nothing in "major" wars.
Like Israel does? Thats not the awesome idea you think it is.
How would you like getting bombed again and again and again? Would you change behavior or not?

Says who?
Reality

No major combat.
Three carrier groups. 300 combat sorties a day.

No major casualties. No army involvement. 30-days is nothing in "major" wars.
400 casualties and rising. This is just starting.

How would you like getting bombed again and again and again? Would you change behavior or not?
It would make me want to build a nuke and nuke you. Hasn't really worked out for Israel, and Israel has to do it. WE ARE SIX THOUSAND MILES AWAY.

You gotta understand these people, they're more than willing to martyr themselves and as many others as possible for the glory of Allah. They ain't what you'd call normal people.

You are describing the crazy mullahs not the Iranian people.
They need regime change to get off the extinction event track they are currently on.

I agree. We should be funding a guerilla movement Cold War style. Kegseth sold Trump on a bill of goods.
