The QB market is really weak, where would they have gone for another? They couldn't pay Wilson's asking cost, so they were stuck with him, which is not a bad deal, he's shown he can win, but the money they are paying him is crazy. With his signing bonus factored in, he will make $75 million this season alone. The Cowboys got hosed on the Elliot contract, but Dak won't be a slacker like Elliot is.

He is getting overpaid, but when he was healthy the last couple years before his big injury, the Offense was #1 in the NFL

Anyway, looks like Dak got himself one helluva contract - Yes, he's overrated.

Of course, Prescott’s stock is still on the rise, and we have yet to see what he can do with a healthy offensive line combined with a the weaponry of Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup for a full 16 games. Oh, and guess what? Kellen Moore didn’t leave to go coach Boise State. So, Dak also gets his young offensive coordinator (where the duo is averaging 444 yards per game) with another year of experience. That ought to be fun.​

He was less successful but still generated the best offense in the shitty division with 8th best passing offense in the NFL, but the Defense was horrible, the real cause of why they lost so much. 4th most points allowed in the NFL.
