I think that's kind of an absurd comparison.

We have a drug problem because we treat addiction as a criminal problem and not a medical one.

Anyone complaining about drug deaths due to Fentanyl is leaving out that these deaths happen because AMERICAN drug dealers are mixing into cocaine and heroin.

Kind of like how, during Prohibition, they tried to make commercial alcohol undrinkable by adding in dangerous chemicals. But bootleggers used the tainted alcohol anyway.

We need treatment programs, not blowing up random boats in the Caribbean that aren't carrying drugs anyway.

We need a lot of things. If we try to fulfill all of them, we will have a fifty trillion dollar a year deficit.

the boat had a range of 350 miles, and must travel at least 1,500 to reach US coast. If it carried enough fuel to make it, then there would be no room for crew or anything else.

You simply support your criminal regime. Nothing legal supports rocket attacks on suspect vessels, with no attempt stop, search and hold those suspects, accountable before the law. It certainly does not sanction, murdering survivors at sea.
