This really pisses me off

American sends back adopted Russian boy with 'behavioural problems' | Mail Online

Some stupid broad adopts a kid in russia, decides she can't handle him, and send him back to Russia, by himself...and he's only SEVEN years old!

There should be a special kind of hell for assholes who do these things.

Also, what is up with the airlines letting a seven year old fly connecting flights by himself?

She didn't really send him back by himself, her mother flew with him to DC, and he was put on a plane. It is common practice for children to fly alone, with the staff looking after him. My brothers did it all the time when they flew here to visit.
They also had someone meet him at the airport when he arrived in Russia.
That isn't what teh dail mail's story said.

Well, if we call ourselves Christian people who sit in church every Sunday and listen to the pastor preach about the rights and wrongs of our society and what we as Christians should be doing right...we are failing miserably. And it's a shame.

first of all "WE" aren't a christian people. tyvm.

second of all, i believe your query about why people adopt from out of the country was answered for you (by me) two days ago....

let's try it one more time with feeling....

IN THIS COUNTRY, THE BIRTH MOTHER CAN DEMAND THE RETURN OF THE CHILD.

If a birth mother can change her mind and get the child back, can't an adoptive parent change their mind and return the child?

tsk tsk tsk my little JP about 80% of Americans are Christians..

Am I the only one that feels sorry for that poor little 7 year old boy here?

He can't help his fate, that he was born to an unstable mother, with who knows what kind of abuse done to him, and then sent to a different country to be raised by a stranger. Of course he is going to be mentally unstable. And now, his behaviors will even increase more. I doubt he's going to get the help he needs back in the orphanage......

Poor, poor little fella.............. :(

If there had been an agreed procedure for returning the child safely if the adoption wasn't compatible, none of this would have happened. Something was amiss with institutions on both sides, and the people didn't know what else to do. Not an excuse, but it's a reason.

When adopting, it is always important to look for this:

Usually, it will be pinned to the child's shirt.

That mother should be arrested.

She cannot send her child back to Russia any more than someone could send their disruptive American born child to Russia.

She should have sent him to Nebraska:

I actually considered dropping my 15 year old off in Scottsbluff, but then, who would mow the yard?

I do feel badly for him.. I would feel even worse if he had burned down the house with his adopted family in it. did we ever find out if the adopted mom sought help? is it easy to turn a violent minded seven year old around or was this adopted family going to be at risk.

I've never understood why Americans want to adopt children from overseas when there are plenty of children here who need to be adopted...anyway!! What's the difference in adopting children from another country than adopting from the country where you live? I don't get it! Americans are complaining about bringing immigrants into this country, does it make a difference if they are from Mexico or Russia? If not, then why are so many people upset about the boy being sent home to Russia by himself? Would they be as upset if he was sent home to Mexico by himself? I doubt it...afterall, he would not be Russian. If you get my meaning.

As someone who was adopted at birth by the best set of parents I've ever seen, right here in America, I agree with this 100%. There are thousands and thousands of children right here in this country who need a family.

Domestic adoption is filled with red tape, outrageous expense and takes FOREVER. Ironically, we have hundreds of thousands of orphans here in the states and our leaders don't want to increase these numbers...no wonder they are pro abortion.

I wish someone could explain to me why it costs so much to adopt a child and why it takes so long and why there are so many hoops to jump through. My wife and I have some friends who tried to adopt here and simply couldn't afford it.

for those of you ...all filled with human compassion for this kids.....and all....adopt him...see how you sleep at night with this child in your home?

you can feel sympathy for the kid....how about some empathy for the woman living in fear of her life?

I feel sorry for the child and sorry for the adoptive parent. It's hard to say what would have happened if they child had stayed . . . would his problems become worse? If he had received therapy would his problems improved? Would he have done the adoptive mom harm? Would the adoptive mom have done him harm? I know how hard it is raising a child with behavioral problems . . . . it is overwhelmingly daunting and regardless of what you may think (if you have not walked in these particular shoes) not everyone has the strength to raise such a child. Perhaps this woman realized that she didn't have the strength and she thought sending him back to Russia was the best thing for everyone. I feel sorry for the kid . . . is he going to just be dumped back into the system? I did read that three families were interested in adopting him . . . perhaps that was the plan for his future all along . . . .

The only one claiming something is wrong with the boy is the lunatic that sent him on a plane half way around the world equiped with only a note.

Some of you really need to get a grip.

I don't think the entire story is known at this point.
I already know enough.

Only a moron would put a child on a plane equiped with only a note.

The boy's condition is irrelivent to that point.

Its even MORE irrisponsible to do what this ass did if the boy has some yet to be determined mental issues.

I don't know if their is a law that applies here, but endangering the welfare of a child is the first thing that comes to mind, and that bitch should be inside a cell pronto.

i wonder how many children are "returned" to the us adoption agencies...where is the outrage...

Nancy Hansen outlined for CNN the process she followed after she decided Justin must go back to Russia.

When the lawyer she found online advised her the adoption could be reversed, Hansen booked the flight and paid the fee for a steward to escort Justin through the airport, she said.

She hired a driver in Moscow she found online to pick the child up from the Moscow airport, she said. She found "safe references" for the driver online, she said.

She then prepared a letter for Justin to present to Russian officials, which included a photo of the driver, whom she identified as "Arthur," she said.

Justin "had never been happier" than when he boarded the plane for Moscow, she said.

Grandmother: Adopted boy sent back to Russia was violent - CNN.com

it was not 'that bitch' that put him on the plane...it was 'that bitch's" mother....

she did more than just put him on a plane
