This reminds me of a Sesame Street clip that I recently discovered. I don't know why, but at first, none of the adult characters knew that Big Bird really did have a friend named Snuffy. For years they all thought that Snuffy was just a figment of Big Bird's imagination because they for one reason or another were never able to catch Snuffy there with Big Bird, but they did eventually get to meet him and when they did, they apologized to Big Bird for not taking him more seriously. My most favorite part this clip is the 5:24 mark when David gets to meet him. I love his smile and his laugh.

Rather than unplug it why not put a recorder in the kids bedroom without the kids knowledge and see what happens?
