On August 15, 2013, The Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice published a paper by Mike Males titled, “Why the Gigantic, Decades-Long Drop in Black Youth Crime Threatens Major Interests.” Males points this out in his report. “For nearly all serious and minor offenses, including homicide, rates among black teenagers nationally were lower in 2011 than when racial statistics were first collected nationally in 1964. Black youths’ murder arrest rates are considerably lower today than back when Bill Cosby was funny (long, long ago).” While people like most of the right-wing express racist opinions about black youths, young blacks were described by Males in this manner: “Today’s young African Americans display the lowest rates of crime and serious risk of any generation that can be reliably assessed.”

We see much to do made about a very small number of blacks, including young blacks, who commit crimes. But far more blacks are like this young man, they work hard and do positive things.

"A 14-year-old Virginia boy has been named “America’s Top Young Scientist” after making a soap bar designed to treat skin cancer.According to Fox 5, Heman Bekele, a student at Frost Middle School, earned the title after winning the 2023 3M Young Scientist Challenge, a competition where middle schoolers across the nation submit a video communicating a scientific solution for an everyday problem.“It’s so crazy, it’s so surreal to even think about it right now!” he told FOX 5.Bekele said it took him eight months to create the idea, a basic prototype, and finish the video for his cancer-treating soap."

I am curious as to why anyone would want to close a thread about black deaths mattering. They do matter. And that’s true regardless of who is committing the majority of the murders.

That is noteworthy. But why do you claim that MSM did not show this? A quick search indeed brought up many MSM articles on this bright young kid.

I am curious as to why anyone would want to close a thread about black deaths mattering. They do matter. And that’s true regardless of who is committing the majority of the murders.

The Black Deaths Matters thread drove IM2 nuts because I kept the spotlight on the weekly carnage in South Chicago and other Black communities that he and the Media want to ignore. My avatar which still drives him nuts is a young girl named Serenity who was murdered in her car seat during a drug gang shootout in Chicago. Denial is a big part of Black racism.
