I never tell my Republican friends who have voted in the past for Trump to vote for Biden or Democrats if they have good thoughtful reasons to oppose doing that. I myself could not vote for Hillary in 2016. I do tell them (as I did in 2016) that voting for Trump would be a grievous error, because he and his personalist political “movement” represents a grave danger to the nation, its unity, and its traditions. I am glad to say at least a few have come around to that view, at least after Jan. 2020.
