I would argue that blacks today who have descended from slaves have gained more from that situation than whites who immigrated here just a couple of generations ago. Blacks today, like whites today, enjoy all the developments created by whites (computers, phones, TV, air conditioning, refrigerators, cars, etc., etc., etc.,), but they also had the good fortune to be born in this country in the first place, and if under 60, the advantages of affirmative action.
