When he approached the woman, she got into her Jeep, ignored him and drove away, breaching two security checkpoints near President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club and prompting authorities to open fire, Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said Friday.

The woman, identified as Hannah Roemhild, 30, continued driving onto Southern Boulevard and crossed the bridge into West Palm Beach, where she and another woman were taken into custody, Bradshaw said.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS 12) — A woman from Connecticut was dancing on the roof of her car before driving through two checkpoints near Mar-a-Lago, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.

Thirty-year-old Hannah Roemhild was dancing on top of her rented Jeep when Florida Highway Patrol approached her in the parking lot at The Breakers, according to deputies.

As FHP was approaching, Roemhild got into the Jeep. As she was trying to put the car in drive, the trooper smashed the window of the driver's side window trying to control the steering wheel, but Roemhild got away, authorities say.
