Illegal eviction: Check

Homophobia: Check

Assault: Check

Prison term and lawsuit? Definitely!

Story:

Manchester, KY City Council Member Esther Thompson evicted tenants for the unspeakable crime of being gay.

Joshua Melton told WYMT that Thompson, his landlady, revealed her prejudice when “she said she should have never rented to the f*ggots.”

Though WYMT didn’t find a formal eviction notice filed with city offices, a complaint was filed after the eviction seeking $2,500 from the renters. She claims the couple violated their lease by having six dogs inside the apartment.

If the tenants did break the rental contract by having 6 dogs in the apartment and if that is writen into the contract as grounds for eviction, I don't see a problem here.

The terms of the rental contract do not become void because the landlord hates gays. Being gay does not allow the tenants to abuse the terms of the contract.
