Sorry Chic, but I lived in Boise ID for 20 years prior to moving to the beach in Oregon this year for semi-retirement. Boise was the fastest growing city in the country (2018 per Forbes).

Though a purple city and still fairly conservative, they are officially "immigrant friendly" and have taken in more Syrian refugees than LA and NYC combined.
