“There is no justification for the invasion, I’m not saying that. But there are reasons for the invasion” - Rand Paul says Russia just wants land back

Biden paved the way for Putin
Ukraine did not provoke the war
Ukraine has all the sovereignty it can defend.
The U.S. (don't count on Biden though)
I bet you no shame about this either. lol.

This is freaking crazy. The doddering old fool in the W.H. paved the way for the Russian invasion and did virtually nothing to stop it and now lefties nit pick conservative speech to try to make an obscure political point to deflect attention to the negligence of the Brandon administration.

There was nothing that COULD be done to stop a mad man like Putin.

He's certainly helping give Putin a bloody nose now though isn't he...

Be careful which international political figure you label as a "mad man" when we have a doddering old fool who has endured two brain embolisms and shakes hands with phantoms while having his finger on the dooms day nuclear trigger. Putin is the bully on the school bus and Brandon is the autistic kid. Feel sorry for him but get freaking real.

Putin is a murdering dictator and Biden is dealing with him

your opinion aside

I'd day the people of Ukraine are doing that, not Biden.

Can you define "paved the way for the Russian invasion?"

March 8

less than two weeks after the invasion and 7 weeks ago
He should have done that before and should not have limited our oil exploration. He paved the way for Putin's invasion. In addition, Biden is afraid to stand up to Putin.

pure nonsense

Rand Paul appeared to try to justify Russia’s invasion of Ukraine...i disagree with this not factually but theoretically: “The countries [Russia has] attacked were part of Russia... The countries that have been attacked, Georgia and Ukraine, were part of the Soviet Union since the 1920s.”

Ukrainians have been struggling for their independence and fighting Russians since the heyday of the cossacks and even further back in time than that.

Ukraine was kept under the Czarist heel by force.

Ukraine was kept under the Soviet heel by force.

The Soviet-Russians deported vast numbers of cossacks and other Ukrainians to far-flung reaches of the Soviet empire in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s.

The Soviet-Russians moved large numbers of Russians into eastern Ukraine in order to displace existing populations and entrench themselves in the east.

The Soviet-Russians imposed a farm collectivization upon Ukraine which killed somewhere between 3,500,000 to 5,000,000 Ukrainians between 1932-1935.

Russian genocide against Ukraine - such as the barbarism we see today from these rotten-soul'ed Russians - has been in the global public eye before.

There are reports that in the earliest days of the German Nazi invasion of 1941 that the Ukrainians had hopes of being freed from the Russian jackboot...

Until they quickly discovered that the Nazi jackboot was even worse than the Russian one...

There is no love lost between Ukrainians and Russians, for the most part, and Ukrainian resistance tells us all we need to know of Ukrainian courage...

So, Rand Paul...

Yes... from time to time, and oftentimes, Ukraine has been a part of Russia...

But it's always been at the point of a sword or at gunpoint and that is never sustainable...

So you go right ahead and keep talking Appeasement, Neville Chamberlain Rand Paul, while others who understand history better counterpoint you...

pure nonsense
“The administration is intentionally leaving the biggest industry in Russia’s economy virtually untouched,” Toomey said. “The sanctions imposed on Russian banks, while welcome, may not isolate the Russian financial system from international activity. That’s why the U.S. should impose crippling sanctions on Russia’s oil and gas sector.”
Biden was warned back in February.
