4. Pretti persisted in escalating matters in the street (probably according to his backer's training) until he ended on the street in a scuffle now with police.
5. Police see he is ARMED, making himself a dangerous antagonist.
6. Somewhere in the scuffle with the gun shots are fired defensively and officers are trained to kill any threat.
7. The criminal Ecuadoran whom ICE was actually there to arrest is safe and sound. Pretti died to save him.

Officers are cleared of all responsibility.

At least a dozen of those closest to the scuffle interfering, blowing whistles, should all be charged both as accessories to Pretti's death but also to obstructing justice.

Incorrect and your facts add context but do not support use of deadly force in this case. At this time we dont have enough evidence to make a clear judgement.
1. Possessing a gun does not allow use of deadly force
2. The gun must be brandished in a threatening way such as high ready position. We dont know that happened
3. Pretti was disarmed.
4. Serious bodily injury or death must be imminent(going to happen right now)
5. We see Pretti on the ground violently resisting 4-5 agents we cant see what actually happening.

In order for deadly force to be used Prettie must create an imminent threat in this moment.
He could have tried to take an agents gun.
He made a furtive movement as if he was reaching for another weapon he had.
The SIG pistol he had is well known for accidental discharges just be shaking the gun when in battery.

Pretti not only refused to stay out of the way, he injected himself into the situation and was seen putting his hands on a Federal agent which is a felony with a fine and up to 8 years in jail.

Pretti was strapping, did not tell the officers and resisted attempts to arrest him, it's all on him.

Someone mentioned that Pretti was reaching for his cell phone as a way to excuse him from guilt however, once the officers took his gun, he reached in his pocket. How were the officers to know it wasn't another gun? Perps often carry more than one.

I don't care if Pretti was an ICU nurse or the illegitimate son of Mother Theresa. He acted like a lawless goon and paid for it.

There is a possibility that Pretti's SIG 320 went off by itself. This gun has defect asnd when in battery can go off if its just shaken, dropped, or the slide moved.
You hear one gunshot then a long pause followed by 3 shots in succession.
The question is did Prettis gun go off after he was disarmed and an agent thought he did fire his gun and rersp9nsed with 3 shots.
