If you ask me, Pretti was acting with reckless abandon by strapping on a gun and inserting himself into a border enforcement situation. Really dumb thing to do. He won't be doing that again.....

If you don't have a carry permit it is a crime to carry a gun, and if you do have a permit it is a supremely stupid act to carry it to place where you are likely to have a confrontation with law enforcement.

Why was he there and why was he taping ICE? Clearly his intent was to interfere with what they were doing as much as he could without being arrested. So he arrived there armed and with criminal intent, and at the first opportunity interfered with officers dealing with the women, which is a crime, and when they tried to arrest him he violently resisted, another crime, and no one knows what happened when he was shot because the only eye witnesses were the ICE agents he was fighting with.

It is worth noting that none of this violence and chaos comes from ICE arresting and detaining illegal immigrants and all of it comes from these assholes trying to interfere with ICE doing its job.

Gotta disagree. Pretti forcibly was obstructing law enforcement, he would not stay to the curb. He did so carrying a pistol! People with guns often carry other weapons. The guy was also carrying about 25-30 rounds.

Had this been a normal situation, I might be inclined to partly agree with you. But they also had TWO HUNDRED angry people sent there all blowing whistles, banging cans, and shouting. Officers could not hear themselves think.

This created a very dangerous situation for the officers. They were fighting with one guy in the middle of the street and he was armed, who can say what any of those other 200 people might do? This escalated the danger both to the officers and Pretti. An officer saw a deadly threat, he fired, a stupid jackass died.

Moral of the story: don't start a fight with a bunch of police trying to arrest a dangerous foreigner in a dangerous situation carrying a gun too unless you want a good chance of getting shot.

The standard being set for these officers just trying to round up criminal foreigners has gotten ridiculous.

Because she was attempting to interfere with law enforcement, which is a crime, and Pretti committed a crime when he interfered in the confrontation between the woman and law enforcement that was a crime, and when he resisted arrest, that was another crime.
