No, it will end when the political ruling class in Russia decides to end it.

They don't want too many casualties, nor do they want the conflict to affect the comfort that everyday Russians enjoy in their normal lives.

To many in Russia, Ukraine to them, is how most Americans view Canada.

It's a common condition in the Baltic states. Everyone in Eastern Europe (save for Serbia) is at best neutral towards Russia, and at worst dislike it.
