The US would not allow even a few short range Soviet nukes in Cuba, so why should Russia allow the Ukraine to join NATO and put long range nukes right on its border?
That not only would be suicide, but the Ukraine clearly violated its 1992 treaty promises, and was in fact in breach with an act of war.

As for the Ukraine, they have been proven to be the ones murdering civilians, stealing oil, and deliberately starting this war with US weapons.

You’ve been told this many times. NATO nukes are already in Europe within easy range of Moscow, St. Petersburg and other major cities. NATO isn’t courting Ukraine for membership and even if it were,the missiles stationed there would be Surface-to Air DEFENSIVE missiles totally unable to damage anything on the ground in Russia. Those missiles are already on the Russian border in many existing NATO countries like Poland. Now they will be on the Finnish Russian border as well soon and maybe in Sweden as well.
