I think that there is a lot more to come out of this and many of our leading politicians will be implicated.

But I dont suppose tht Uber is an outlier. There are other corporations who trample over local laws and use corrupt politicians in order to make more money.

Should corporations be limited in size ao that they are not a threat to the general welfare ?

if not capitalism then what do you suggest??

I am agnostic when it comes to rideshare apps. I didn't love ridesharing in college which I did a few times just for split gas money. I sure don't know why anybody would do it for a living. I guess desperate times calls for desperate measures or it pays a hell of a lot better than I think it does. I am actually surprised it took so long to become a thing since colleges had ride-sharing boards for holidays even back when my parents were that age.

Breaking laws has nothing to do with "capitalism," they are just crimes

Wherever you have humans you have corruption to follow. Any system where someone has control of large amounts of money will naturally attract those bad characters. Socialism and communism arent any different. Bribes and favoritism are prevalent between industry and government, but there citizens have less recourse against a corrupt government than they do against a private company.

Definitely break up Meta, Amazon, Google. AWS should be a public benefit corp for all Americans regardless of their political affiliation

I think we have agreement Frank. There are some benefits to the public. But the drawbacks are hidden and cause a huge damage to our society.

I would add in Starbucks as well.

When my daughter and I were in Scotland a few years ago, we never waited for more than four or five minutes for an Uber.

Here in northeastern Florida? You can sometimes wait up to 20 minutes...

It obviously is in this instance.

So to you, if a priest molests a child, that's what Catholicism is, molesting boys.

So by your reasoning, if a Democrat robs a bank, then the Democrat Party is about robbing banks.

Um, sure, Cowboy.

On another subject, I apologize for the insults you quoted. I forgot where I was. I realized and deleted them, but you had already quoted me.
