I don't usually learn new things about this war, but this interview did give some new insights I had not known before.

American prestige has taken huge blow thanks to the election of this president. What you are about to read did not happen under Biden. Or Obama. For that matter, under GW Bush, his father or Reagan.

In rare meeting without US ally, Western army chiefs meet to show Ukraine unity

More than 30 army chiefs among Washington's closest allies met in Paris on March 11 without their US counterparts, seeking to take on more responsibility over the war in Ukraine given President Donald Trump's unpredictability and rapprochement with Moscow.

The closed-door gathering of 34 army chiefs, including Nato alliance and EU members as well as Japan and Australia, was a rare - and possibly unprecedented - convening without the US.

The talks aimed in part to assess options and capabilities to guarantee Ukraine's security in the event of a ceasefire, including potential European peacekeepers, and to maintain Kyiv's long-term military strength.

"The political message is we can do it together and without the United States, but it's clear there are things we can't do and the problem with Russia is we need to have deterrence," said a European diplomat involved in the talks, adding that the meeting was largely pre-planning.

A military official said the US was not invited, in an intended signal that Europe and other partners could take their responsibilities given Mr Trump has distanced himself from allies.

Cuz doing the same things have worked so well huh im#2?

Kept the money flowing.

So the only 2 options are, America has to be everyone else's bitch, or we are a pariah? Not much of a choice if you ask me

Only because the Eurotrash couldn't handle it and we had to fix it.
No, it's because the Russians kept a lid on the two sides without solving anything for like 5 years. When the cap came off it was a rat-fuck. The US was part of an international effort called KFOR (Kosovo Force). The US contributed like 500 or so troops outt 5,000 IIRC. There was also some PMC involvement in supporting roles.

So far... the Euros are freaking-out about their own Defense for the first time since WW2 and are ready to make big outlays...

So far... the Israelis are kicking a$$ and know that we've got their back against Hamas and Hezbollah and Iran...

So far... the Mexicans have sent thousands of troops to their northern and southern borders to control drugs and migration...

So far... the Canadians are backing down after threats of surcharges on electricity to three States...

So far... the Panamanians have kicked the Chinese out of their coastal port ownership pink-slips...

So far... Greenlanders are voting for Independence despite concerns over the relationship with the US...

Not too bad, for a country that has lost all that Respect, eh? ;)

They wait until AFTER there’s a peace deal and TOGETHER they couldn’t field a functional Army division

You're just not intelligent enough to realize your own stupidity.
A common malady amongst liberal twats.
:auiqs.jpg:Damn you're basic. So what makes me liberal to a fierce magaturd patriot like yourself?

Be specific. This should be awesome. :auiqs.jpg:

It's about time European countries took a larger leadership roll in European affairs. It's not like it was a NATO meeting.
