The truth about socialism

Norway and Sweden are capitalist. Socialism is based on a lie. The state owns the means of production not the people.
If They Own a Man's Work, They Own That Man

Under Capitalism, a plutocratic oligarchy owns the means of production. Half its sons become socialists and repeat that outside ownership using the government.

Lets start with the big lie, Socialism means the workers own the means of production.

The state owns and controls all aspects of production not the people. The people own nothing. They cant vote its not a democracy and have no power at all. Everyone cant own the means of production thats impossible in a socialist model.
Why do you think socialism and democracy are incompatible? Britain's socialism developed democratically, people voted for socialist ideas like free school meals, a healthcare system financed through taxation (as opposed to credit cards or second mortgages that cripple many Americans in old age).
The result is oppression, poverty, no social mobility, 2 class society the rich and the poor, shortages of everything, low quality, and zero innovation. Look at Cub Russia North Korea, Venezuela as examples.
Oppression? how can going to school knowing you'll be fed or knowing you'll get a bed in a hospital anytime you need it at no cost or knowing you cannot be forced to work in a mine at ten years old or knowing there are always police there when you need be described as "oppression"?
The only way a worker can own equity in a company i in America by buying stock. Many American companies are owned by their workers. You can own stock in any company and share the profits.
Yes you can.
Socialism is a lie
No, it's a noun.

Power wants to exploit and believes it has a right to exploit a population, we are told we are "resources" and we must rent ourselves out, we are told this is the only way to exist. In a democracy though that model can be changed if the majority want a different model.

No honest American objects to modern child labor laws (yet the industrialists of the past did object and sometimes violently) and no honest American would object to a national health service where there are zero point of service costs and every prescription for every kind of drug always costs ten dollars.

You're scared because decades or Republican and Democrat lies have made you scared. Socialism would be good for the people of America but not for the rapacious exploitative investors. Because it's bad for the powerful they want you to believe its bad too, and so they lie to you and you believe them.

You already have bits of socialism already, school buses, police (would you advocate for a police insurance?)

"Hello officer, there's a man banging at my back door".

"OK, well look I'm sorry but our records show that you don't seem to have police cover, no insurance."

"I know, but I'm poor, my husband died last year and we spent all our savings on his care".

"Well I'm afraid there's nothing I can do, ma'm, do you have a credit card handy?"

I suggest you read this then come back and discuss it with me, have you read many books about socialism?

What exactly are you disagreeing with? What's stopping the workers from doing exactly what I said?
Before Big Business Stabbed Us in the Back, It Took Away Our Backbone

We were born in the dugout and made to believe we had been benched. Massive intimidation and humiliation has given us an inferiority complex, even though shared risk is a lot easier to deal with than individual risk. It would fail less.

Even pro athletes have been affected by the plutocratic parasites' insults and ingratitude. It took them 100 years of being cheated out of the pay they deserved before they had the self-esteem to unionize.

When did the government own the businesses?
The Romans established the precedent (and the word) of Dictator during National Emergencies. War.

They understood that, during a time of War, not everything could be hashed out for Months on end in front oa Senate body. Decisions had to be made..... Now. And Fast.

FDR was a bit of a Dictator. Had to be. During War, all Presidents become dictatorial. Of necessity.

Your answer to one of resident dimocrap scumbags shows one thing about socialism that most of them won't talk about -- They are ALL dictatorships. They have to be.

socialism must be a dictatorship or it has absolutely no, Zero chance of working even for a short time. When they always collapse of their own stupidity.

I want you, and everybody else in here to read and understand this. It's what we're facing today in the dimocrap scum party.

“Now I will tell you the answer to my question. It is this. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from the oligarchies of the past in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.”

There is no 'complex' about it. You ARE inferior. You are damaged. And you can not be fixed.

Is it your lot in life to answer questions not asked of you?

I was busting rightwinger's chops! I appreciate your contribution, but I happen to have a history degree. You really told me nothing I don't already know!

Thanks for your contribution!

Is it your impression that the entire world revolves around you?

There are many people in here who read the posts we both make. While you may be aware of what I told you, many of the people reading in here are not. My post was for them.

I addressed my comment to one point made by rightwinger. Reading comprehension is important. Your post makes it appear I don't know what I am talking about, which is what I was trying to show rightwinger that he has no clue!

That was my point.

The key thing to realize is that socialists want to create a system where a person's power and privilege in society is decided by government, rather than the free market.
