Democrats the party of bad news. Remember Carter and America's malaise?
Republicans are the party of optimism and hope for the future.

Trump is downright cheerful when it comes to COVID
It is no worse than the flu, it will be over by Easter, no the summer, no by Election Day, he has a cure, vaccines will be ready by the summer, he has everything under control.
Hes cheerful and proud of creating conditions necessary to FREE SCIENCE to create a hugely successful vaccine in RECORD TIMETrump is downright cheerful when it comes to COVID

Trump's message: the US economy will get back to full employment, but needs fairness in trade deals.
Biden's message: we need to get back to globalism, the green new deal, higher taxes, moving jobs back to China, and more unfair trade deals so Hunter can pocket a few more $million.

Why do you think we are in the "dark days" (and getting darker)? Because Trump's outlook isn't positive. It ignores reality. He's incompetent. He blew the response to the virus and now after having months to prepare for distributing the vaccine that he stood up and tried to take credit for, we find out he fails miserably...again. Biden is being realistic. Looking at a 9/11 or greater every day for the past month, one wonders why Trump hasn't been removed. Because this situation is exactly why we have the 25th amendment.

Trump got the vaccine developed, tested, and manufactured in less than a year. That is a medical miracle.
Trump tried to keep the US economy from tanking as the democrats kept trying to shut it down.
We'll see how Joe Biden does if/when he gets a crisis to manage.
p.s. It was China that unleashed the COVID pandemic, not Trump. Watch the Bidens cash-in on China <again>.
The US moved about 12,000 US factories to China over the last two or three decades, and Trump is supposed to fix the China problem in a year or two?? Get real. At least Trump is taking China on and protecting US interests.Trump's message: the US economy will get back to full employment, but needs fairness in trade deals.

Let's see, how'd that work out? We're a couple years into Trump's trade wars. Fail. Why don't we just stop touting his genius on trade deals, huh? If you don't believe me, read what these people had to say.
More pain than gain: How the US-China trade war hurt America | Brookings
The ultimate results of the phase one trade deal between China and the United States — and the trade war that preceded it — have significantly hurt the American economy without solving the underlying economic concerns that the trade war was meant to resolve, write Ryan Hass and Abraham Denmark.www.brookings.edu

He had nothing to do with the development. And it looks like he blew having the proper distribution plans in place as well too. No shock here. Even after Warp Speed was clumsily put together a full five months after he got home from Davos and declared it was only one person coming home from China and we had it under control.
Again, Biden has shown more leadership and planning for tackling this virus in two months than Trump's administration has over the last eleven. I welcome the return of competence and look forward to Biden purging every last person that Trump and his minions brought into government.
