I believe all these cases are contrived by far left Trump-haters knowing full well their cases have no basis in fact and will be overturned in the long run but that they can railroad Trump with only by dint of their judicial authority to bring them despite all facts to the contrary, with the intent of just costing Trump a fortune in legal fees fighting them, then yet more money to acquit himself on appeal, as a way of just "getting" him while he is still a private citizen because no other way worked.

In another week, a NY court will be fining Trump for half a billion.

To appeal in a civil case, someone has to post the whole amount of the judgement first. That's to prevent deadbeats like Trump from using endless appeals to avoid paying up.

Trump could barely scrape up the first $5.6 million. No one will post bond for him, because they know he's not good for it. Even Russia won't touch him now.

I don't know how much money Trump has, but at best, he's going to have to dismantle a significant portion of his "empire" to pay this off. Under the close supervision of the courts, meaning all kinds of illegal activities are going to come to light.

And soon, the Supremes will take a big steaming dump on his last legal "PRESIDENTS HAVE FULL IMMUNITY FOR EVERYTHING!" defense. The conservative justices don't need Trump. They see Trump being in jail as being better for their cause and for themselves personally, especially after he started threatening them.

Trump is so screwed. That's why he's telling his bootlickers to rage. It won't make any difference.

Here's the real world reality on your --- 'let's-manipulate-the-statute-to-get-Trump' fantasy/nightmare.

First, the New York legislature in a bi-partisan fashion did NOT change the law to get Trump. Rather, they did it ---as did other states (see below) --- to better protect victims of sexual abuse and to afford them enhanced tools to bring the perpetrators to justice. Those tools included not only extending the statute-of-limitations, but laws regulating rape kits, and non-disclosure agreements, and other measures protecting victims. These measures were not intended to get Trump. Rather, they were results directly traceable to the political impact of the MeToo movement.

Women were fed up with the Harvey Weinsteins of the world....and took to political activism to get laws changed. Trump just happened to be lying in the road of that MeToo truck.

If you fret about New York extending the limitations statute, well, girlfriend.....you need also fret about the actions of these states who also....took on or are taking measures to better protect victims....and take away measures that advantaged the abusers, the predators:

• Arkansas.
• California.
• Colorado.
• Iowa.
• Louisiana.
• Minnesota.
• Ohio.
• Oklahoma
• Oregon.
• Texas.
• New York

Lovely! Nothing about the blog leads one to believe that the “fact checking” has any relevance beyond the sole opinion of Dave Van Zandt.

Lovely! There is no indication of who those volunteers are and why anyone should accept their opinions as “phact”.
