All that did was said they couldn’t draw districts based on race. Are you saying you want districts based on race?
A system of inclusion based on race, are you saying you want a system of inclusion based on race?
Since AA disproportionally benefits white women, I’d think you’d be in favor of dismantling it.
I think we should celebrate the achievements of people of all colors, but in the quick reading I did about this, it appears the decision was just a part of the push to end DEI. It appears the panels were the result of the efforts of a group called the Black Liberators foundation in the Netherlands, whose goal it is to “counteract the largely white narrative of WWII history”. Among the panels erected at the site was a panel describing the segregation policy of the US in WWII. This seems to not be a celebration of black soldiers, but a criticism against the US, or, a form of political protest, is which is not really a legitimate use of government property…for the government to protest itself, that is.
Now the other panel, describing the heroism of George Pruitt, that should have stayed. No question about that.
I’m not totally sure of the cause of this. The way I understand it, most of those jobs were in the private sector, so, I’m not sure how that relates to any government cutbacks.
