The Terrorists Win

That war was fucked and if you thought it could possibly end any other way, you were probably one of the assholes who kept voting for a blank check of dead soldier's lives to be sent over there for absolutely nothing
I'm ALWAYS against "nation-building" aka wasting billions on shithole countries, not to mention US lives.
Of the 20-years of the AFG war (8) were managed by BO & Xiden, just so you know who some of the assholes were.
Was Trump right or wrong to draw-down and plan for withdrawal?
Was Trump's "extreme vetting" aka "Muslim ban" a good idea or a bad idea?

7 out of hundreds of thousands ALSO pointlessly killed over 20 years. We are gone now. Best of luck to Afghanistan. I hope we don't massacre any more of their people.
The reality is that many need to die in an overly indebted world.

It has been explained before but apparently some do not get it....the biden regime had been in power for 7months before the withdrawal.

Remember that first of all.

In the congressional hearings yesterday blinken said biden only had two options either withdraw unconditionally or go back to war.

The taliban man had told him....either get out by the specified date or we will attack your people.

Biden surrendered to the taliban man's demands....thus it is all on him.

What could biden have done?

He could and in my opinion should have told the taliban man either give us enough time to get all of our people and equipmenr out safely or we will attack you.

If the taliban refused to agree to give America the the time needed to withdraw all of our people and all of our equipment then biden should have put the troops back in that were needed to keep the taliban at bay....and immediately begun to attack them with drones, fighter bombers, cruise missles, and any and every thing in our arsenal.

If Biden explained what we would unleash on them.....do you think the taliban would have launched their offensive? Of course not.

Biden fucked up and the demented old fool must be held accountable.

Biden should be forced to take a cognitive test...if he flunks it...then the 25th amendment should be invoked.

The White House announced Tuesday that it will pull thousands of troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan by Jan. 15. A force of 2,500 service members will remain in both countries, but the Trump administration aims to have all remaining troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan by Spring 2021.

But, the drawdown worries some military leaders. Peace talks with the Taliban appear to be stalled and attacks are on the rise in Afghanistan. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is also concerned about reducing the number of boots on the ground in such a tumultuous time.

"I think it is extremely important here in the next couple of months not to have any earthshaking changes with regard to defense and foreign policy," McConnell said. "I think a precipitous drawdown in either Afghanistan or Iraq would be a mistake."

Reducing the troop number so low made it nearly impossible to reverse course, by design.

"Afghanistan, where, by the way, I started the process. All the troops are coming back home. They couldn’t stop the process. 21 years is enough. Don’t we think? 21 years. They couldn’t stop the process. They wanted to, but it was very tough to stop the process when other things…yeah. Thank you. Thank you. It’s a shame.

Utter nonsense.....what Trump did or what McConnel thought or what anyone else thought was irrelevant........when the biden regime came in that made him responsible.

Perhaps he should have listened to McConnel and brought in more troops.....it is ridiculous to claim he could not have done that....he had 6 months to do that.

We invaded Afghanistan with only approx 200 boots on the ground working with the air force they drove out the taliban and destroyed most of the al quada forces.

When the taliban began their offensive biden did nothing but beg the taliban for more time which they refused to give him because they knew the weak assed fool would do nothing.

Absolutely disgraceful and disastrous.

Now the biden regime tries to blame Trump when it was their mistakes that resulted in all the chaos and disaster.

Biden wouldn't take office for another two months after the lame duck decided to withdraw all but 2500 troops.

Yes he could have re-invaded to fight the Taliban. How many more of our son and daughter should we have sacrificed?

The Taliban was already on the offensive in Nov. 2020 when the order was given. The Taliban did not attack the withdrawing American forces.

"The U.S. bears “major responsibility” for the Afghan military’s collapse and the Taliban’s success, says former U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan Ryan Crocker. “It began under President Trump when he authorized negotiations between the U.S. and the Taliban without the Afghan government in the room.”

Those were surrender talks, he says, in which we forced the Afghan government to release over 5,000 Taliban prisoners, who immediately returned to fighting.

Trump’s former national security advisor, H.R. McMaster, also termed the Trump document a “surrender agreement.“

Trump’s former defense secretary, Mark Esper, accused Trump of undermining the agreement by repeatedly urging that U.S. troops leave even though the Taliban did not comply with the terms of the negotiated agreement.

In fact, Trump actively sabotaged the peace talks by repeatedly tweeting his intention to withdraw all U.S. troops by May 1, thus removing any incentive for the Taliban to negotiate.
