We've defeated their military 100% except the fact they have complete military control over this critical area we can't do anything about that is crippling us. If you ignore that, we have won!

They don't have "complete" military control. Not even a little bit.

They have the ability to lob a few drones, which is enough to stop commercial shipping. Last time I checked, commercial ships are non-military.
